CEO & Founder

Current

Island Development Crew

2024 – Present

Huntsville, AL

  • Building 30+ software products across 10 industries from a single AI-orchestrated platform
  • Designed 24-agent, 3-branch multi-agent AI orchestration — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, GLM, Kimi, and DeepSeek coordinated via structured pipelines
  • 10 product suites: NeuralForge OS, AgentPact, Automotive Suite, SyncHQ, KindlyCrew, Education, Design Agency, LaunchGrid, IDC Press, Community Impact
  • Authored 5 books including 2 publish-ready AI development guides (~25K words each)
  • Created NorthStar Build Framework — open-source AI development methodology (github.com/Navigata1)
Island Development Crew was founded with a single premise: one person with deep multi-domain experience can build systems that typically require entire teams — if the architecture is right. The IDC platform is a 24-agent, 3-branch AI orchestration system. Each branch handles a specific domain: products, operations, and research. Agents coordinate via structured pipelines — not ad-hoc prompting. The result is consistent, auditable, scalable output. The 30+ applications being built aren't side projects — they're production-grade systems designed for compliance-sensitive industries. CareSyncHQ handles parent-caregiver communication coordination. WreckPix targets the automotive insurance and damage assessment market. StorySyncHQ is a publishing and EdTech platform. KindlyCrew Suite addresses the caregiver coordination gap in elder care. The methodology behind the build is itself a product: NorthStar Build Framework (open source on GitHub) is a 14-part AI-native development blueprint that governs the entire IDC pipeline. It's been adopted by other builders and is the intellectual foundation of how Jon approaches every system he architects. In 18 months, IDC has produced 30+ products, 5 books, multiple open source frameworks, and consulting engagements with external clients. The output velocity is a direct function of architectural discipline: when the process is right, the results compound. This is systems engineering applied to AI — not prompt engineering.

Chief AI Strategic Manager

Current

Oakwood University — Community Health Action Center (CHAC)

2026 – Present

Huntsville, AL

  • Chief AI Strategic Manager under Mrs. Shelly Vaughn — AI strategy for community health operations
  • Standing up Zoom room infrastructure for remote health consultations and community outreach
  • Coordinating bus fleet logistics for mobile health service delivery across Huntsville/Madison County
  • Operating Roland AV system for CHAC events, presentations, and community programming
  • Room setup, logistics management, and event coordination for health fairs and community gatherings
The role at Oakwood University's Community Health Action Center is more than an AI strategy appointment — it's the intersection of every domain Jon has worked in for the past 20 years. Under Mrs. Shelly Vaughn's leadership, the CHAC serves as a community health hub operating complex multi-channel programming. Jon's responsibilities span the full operational and technological landscape: standing up Zoom room infrastructure for remote health consultations and community outreach sessions; coordinating the bus fleet logistics that deliver mobile health services across the Huntsville/Madison County service area; operating and managing the Roland AV system for CHAC events, presentations, and programming; and handling full room setup and breakdown logistics for health fairs, workshops, and community gatherings. This isn't a theoretical AI leadership position — it's boots-on-ground operational management with an AI strategy overlay. The hands-on logistics experience (25 years at Bahah's, IT contractor work, home health tech setups) makes Jon uniquely qualified to both operate these systems and architect AI solutions that work within their real-world constraints. The AI strategic layer: applying enterprise-grade AI methodology to community health workflows — from streamlining appointment coordination to improving health program delivery reach, to building AI literacy within the CHAC team itself. This role connects directly to the Oakwood AI Hub open source project Jon already built for the university community — a pattern of demonstrated investment before formal engagement. The CHAC position represents the full convergence: faith community, healthcare expertise, AI architecture capability, and hands-on operational discipline.

Strategic AI Advisor

Current

Digital Support Systems

2025 – Present

Remote (Consulting)

  • Serving as strategic and technical 'second brain' for founder Jimmy Wilson
  • Accelerating AI landscape adoption — identifying, evaluating, and implementing emerging tools
  • Optimizing workflows and keeping the organization on the bleeding edge of AI capability
  • Providing architecture guidance, agent system design, and strategic technical advisory
  • Active workspace and ongoing consulting relationship — digitalsupportsystems.com
This role is a direct expression of what Jon does naturally: absorb, synthesize, and translate the AI landscape into actionable operational advantage for organizations that aren't positioned to track it themselves. Jimmy Wilson brought Jon in as his second brain — someone who can maintain deep situational awareness across the AI ecosystem, evaluate emerging tools with a practitioner's eye, and translate that intelligence into concrete workflow improvements and strategic direction. The relationship reflects a broader pattern in Jon's work: domain experts and experienced operators benefit enormously from someone who can bridge the gap between "what AI can theoretically do" and "what AI should actually do for this specific operation." That translation layer — from frontier capability to practical implementation — is Jon's highest-leverage skill. This role complements the IDC work: real-world consulting engagements that pressure-test the AI methodologies and frameworks Jon builds, while expanding his client-side advisory capabilities.

Foreman / Inventory Manager / Service Writer

Bahah's Automotive Mechanic/Body Repair & Sales

1995 – Present

Huntsville, AL

  • Managed 5 licensed mechanics: scheduling, performance, safety, and welfare
  • Implemented automated transportation protocol — reduced parts downtime by 30%
  • OSHA-compliant hazardous materials handling and shop safety management
  • Full financial management: balance sheets, insurance billing, accounts receivable
  • Inventory control, logistics coordination, and POS systems integration
Bahah's isn't just a repair shop — it's a 7-function operation in one building: mechanical repair, auto body, vehicle transport, parts logistics, sourcing and procurement, vehicle sales, and finder/broker services. Running it requires simultaneous management of people, inventory, compliance, finances, and customer relationships. The operational discipline learned here — managing constraint, prioritizing tasks under pressure, maintaining compliance in a regulated environment — directly maps to systems engineering. You can't optimize what you can't measure. You can't manage what you don't document. These aren't business school concepts: they're survival requirements learned over 25 years. The family legacy adds another dimension: Bahah's was founded by Jon's father, an immigrant from St. Kitts. Building and maintaining that business wasn't just professional development — it was stewardship of something that mattered. That instills a different kind of quality commitment than a corporate incentive structure. Half of the similar automotive technicians working in Huntsville today learned from this shop. That's a quiet legacy that speaks to training capacity and operational influence in the local market.

Personal Home Health Technician

Loving Hands & Independent Contractor

2012 – Present

Huntsville, AL

  • Direct personal care for clients — HIPAA guidelines followed throughout
  • One-time technology setup for each new client: home networks, devices, and entertainment systems
  • Ensured home infrastructure was reliable and accessible before and alongside ongoing care
  • Medical device testing and basic validation against safety and functional standards
  • Technical assistance and troubleshooting for patients, families, and care team
Home health work is fundamentally about people — and the environment that supports their care matters as much as the care itself. For each new client, Jon handled the one-time technology setups they needed: home networks configured and secured, devices set up and accessible, entertainment and communication systems organized so clients could stay connected to family and maintain quality of life. Once that infrastructure was in place, the focus shifted to ongoing direct care — personal support, monitoring, and coordination with families and care teams. Beyond direct care, Jon handled the one-time technology setups each client needed — home networks, devices, entertainment systems — ensuring the infrastructure around care was as reliable as the care itself. HIPAA guidelines were followed throughout — protecting client privacy and maintaining appropriate data handling — but this wasn't a daily EHR platform management role. It was personal, direct, and relational work with a technology support dimension that made the day-to-day experience better for everyone involved. This experience is the human foundation behind CareSyncHQ (which improves communication between parents and caregivers) and KindlyCrew Suite — systems built by someone who has lived in the care environment they're designed to support.

Mechanic Technician

Jerry Damson Honda — Service Department

2014 – 2018

Huntsville, AL

  • Dealership-level diagnostics using OEM tools and schematics
  • Independent operation with minimal supervision on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • OSHA-compliant safety practices and PPE protocols
  • Troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, wire diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Collaborative interface with service advisors and customers
Working at a Honda dealership operates under a different quality standard than independent shops — everything is documented, everything is traceable, and the diagnostic process is systematic rather than intuitive. This environment reinforced a core engineering principle: follow the process, trust the data, verify before acting. The independence required at this level — running your own bay, managing your own queue, coordinating with service writers while staying heads-down on complex diagnostics — builds the self-directed work discipline that carries into any technical role. No one is looking over your shoulder. The quality of the outcome is your reputation. This experience directly informs WreckPix and the broader automotive suite: systems that need to understand automotive diagnostics at a technical depth that can only come from someone who has done the work, not just read about it.

Networking / Security / Surveillance Specialist

Independent IT Contractor

2009 – Present

Huntsville, AL

  • POE networking, telecom installation, and surveillance system deployment
  • Network security operations and proactive threat assessment
  • Hardware and software integration testing to precision standards
  • System documentation and user manual development
  • Data flow analysis, input error assessment, and system change management
15+ years of independent IT contracting covers a wide surface area: from physical network installation (POE, telecom, structured cabling) to logical network security, from surveillance system deployment to software change management and documentation. The defense relevance here is direct: understanding network topologies, security architecture, documentation standards, and system integration is foundational to any defense IT or C4ISR environment. CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications formalize the knowledge that was already being applied in the field. The discipline of creating comprehensive documentation — user manuals, system specifications, change request procedures — reflects an understanding that systems must be maintainable by people who weren't there when they were built. That's a critical quality in any security-sensitive or safety-critical environment.

Patient Care Technician — Oncology

Crestwood Medical Center

2006 – 2009

Huntsville, AL

  • HIPAA-compliant patient data management in high-stakes clinical environment
  • Medical equipment maintenance and operational readiness
  • Cross-department collaboration: oncology, radiology, laboratory, nursing
  • Patient transport and inter-departmental coordination
  • Precision charting and data entry in compliance-critical workflows
Starting in an oncology department means starting where the stakes are highest. Every data entry matters. Every equipment check matters. HIPAA isn't a checkbox — it's the difference between protecting someone's most vulnerable moment and compromising it. Working across departments — oncology, radiation, lab, nursing — develops a systems perspective on how large institutions coordinate across functional silos. Understanding where information flows, where handoffs happen, and where failure points emerge in a complex organization is exactly the skill needed to design systems that serve those organizations. This is where the operational and compliance instincts were first formally tested. Every subsequent role has built on this foundation.
